Sat Aug 29: Saturday A cloudy and wet start across Ireland, with widespread rain clearing eastwards during the morning and early afternoon. Across England and Wales, occasionally heavy rain will also move eastwards, followed by brighter conditions but some heavy or thundery showers. Scotland should remain largely dry, with variable cloud and occasional sunny spells. Highs of 16C to 20C.
